Last year, when we climbed Kilimanjaro, we needed Malarone for our stay in Tanzania. My personal experience was that this was a side effect free med, so want to use it again for a planned trip to India. There are two issues though…
The first is that it isn’t cheap. The cheapest Malarone I have come across in the UK is around £2.25 per tablet (and the dose is one tablet per day for as long as you are in areas with Malaria).
The second issue is that we aren’t quite sure how long we’ll be going for, so not sure how much to buy in the UK before we leave.
Does anyone know if it can be purchased safely in India? and is it cheaper that the UK?
