Anchor Retrieval Madness

Holy crap, this is the type of daft thing I like to do with my spare time.

Whilst swimming in the sea yesterday I spotted a lost anchor about 3 metres down. I dived under and quickly realised that without any kind of buoyancy aid, there was no easy way to bring it to the surface and take it ashore. So today I donned my 12mm wetsuit, and with my diver’s buoy, went off to retrace yesterday’s steps in order to attempt getting the find back to Casa Kingsley.

Anchor Retrieval - Success!

Suffice to say, the venture was successful, if a little tiring. Sea water tastes horrible when you’ve had too much!

Anyone need an anchor?

  1. Hello Mr Nothingtodo.

So you have now resorted to finding scrap at sea. I’m glad something is keeping you busy, I’m obviously rather jealous though!

You need to get some SCUBA gear and try and find some good dive sites, then I will come out and pay a visit ;-)

Anyway good work with the blog!

  2. Hi Tom! Hope you’re good and enjoying the easy life!
