Tubs’ Travels

At the time, I really didn’t enjoy my time in Varanasi, but with hindsight, it was the one of the most memorable places that we stayed. Because we were there for almost two weeks in the end, and because it was such an intense place, it stands out in my mind.

Varanasi, apparently the oldest living city in the world, is intense, dirty, hot, poor and challenging, yet it has a strange, indescribable beauty, and I will always remember it vividly.

We arrived in Varanasi yesterday, many say the cradle of the Hindu religion. The city is fascinating…. Please read on!
